Project Manager Liaising
Liaising with Project managers regarding safety training and the appointments of various personnel within the project.
Safety File Implementation
Implementation of the safety files to the employees and proof of training acquired from each employee before work commences.
Fall Protection Planning
SHE Plans
This is a set of policies and procedures designed to help identify and reduce fall hazards.
Develop SHE Plans and safe work procedures according to the scope of work.
Safe Working Environment
Maintain a safe working environment for employees at all times emphasis based on the Construction regulations 2014 and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Occupational Health & Safety
Proactively promote the Occupational Health and Safety of all employees, visitors and contractors. Regularly evaluate the risks associated with activities.
Develop and maintain the Occupational Health and Safety strategies through facilitation with my clients.
Occupational Health & Safety
Participate in establishing and monitoring Occupational Health and Safety targets with emphasis on risk reduction, this we do with the principal contractors and sub-contractors to our clients.
Induction Training
Providing induction training to all contractors and employees on the project prior to commencement of work is allowed.
Health & Safety Meetings
Safety Harness
Facilitating Health and Safety meetings with sub-contractors on behalf of the principal contractor.
Safety harness inspections and training.

Report Unsafe Acts
To report any unsafe acts or near misses to the Site Supervisor and Project Manager and conduct toolbox talks with regards to the near miss immediately.
Incident Investigations
Relevant Documentation
Ensuring that all relevant documentation in accordance to the Construction Regulations 2014 and Occupational Health and Safety act are adhered to and are present in the form of a safety file before any sub-contractor or contractor is allowed on site.
Conduct incident investigations on reportable incidents and reporting to our clients and Department of Labour.
Toolbox Talks
Weekly Toolbox Talks conducted by our professionals.
Site Supervisors
Ensure site supervisors are conducting their DSTI on a daily basis.
Information Access
Ensure access to information about actual or potential hazards in the workplace and the Health and Safety of all employees.
Precaution Implementation
Hazard Identification
Hazard Identification is ongoing and is reported on the weekly site reports.
To ensure that the construction site is safe to enter, and the necessary precautions are implemented to mitigate the risk of all authorized employees or contractors entering the construction site from being injured.
Site Reports
Compile Site reports and submit to client and Project Managers regarding our findings after inspections are concluded; this is done on our newly developed digital site report.
Health & Safety Threats
Work to be stopped if there is an immediate Health and Safety threat or an unsafe act being committed, or an unsafe condition exists on site. (Inclement weather, unsafe scaffold, rioting etc.)
Site Visits
Health and safety site visits, inspection and legal compliance audits we do monthly and submit our report to our client.
Inspections
Inspections of all equipment on site to ensure compliance according to the Construction Regulations and GMR.
Client Advising
Advising client on Health and Safety matters affecting the project which is ongoing.

Our Story
Extreme Safety is an organisation that is able to deliver quality Occupational Safety and Health Services to the construction, commercial, manufacturing, government, mining, petrochemical and industrial sectors in the Southern Africa market. Extreme Safety specializes in the development, implementation and maintenance of Compliance Systems. Currently based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, Extreme Safety is in the process of expansion branching out into Gauteng and Western Cape in the near future.
Extreme Safety, established in 2007, is a Health and Safety Consultancy Company founded by Tony and Grant Leibbrandt. The late Tony Leibbrandt dedicated his life to his children, one of which is Grant Leibbrandt. Tony, with 11 years’ experience came from a mining background and previously worked on for Sahara Projects, Tekweni Air and Airvent. Tony, nicknamed the “LEGEND”, possessed such a passion for bringing health and safety onto sites for all the projects he worked on. Tony developed great working relationships with his customers, peers and fellow safety colleagues and has left a lasting legacy in the industry. He devoted his time in assisting many construction sites and work force to establish a safer working environment. Extreme Safety continues to bring quality and efficient service to their growing customer base, inspired by the legacy and passion of “LEGEND” Tony Leibbrandt to honor him.
